WORKSHOPS

Vanaajamaja is an accredited training and consultancy provider dedicated to Estonian built heritage. We provide training courses related to traditional log building and historical renovation. We regularly host master carpenters from all over the world to share their knowledge and skills.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

To help to maintain or restore heritage buildings important for local community we organize each year a community building project through engaging master carpenters and apprentices.

COUNSELLING

In order to ensure the sustainability of traditional building we would like to bring more public attention to the field. Towards this end our master log builders provide on going counselling and assistance to the public in the maintainance and renovation of old wooden houses.

NGO Vanaajamaja

NGO Vanaajamaja (Old Times House) was born in 1998 as a nonprofit, educational organization. We are dedicated to establishing training programs, disseminating information, and generally serving as a center of Estonian traditional building and log house renovation for the professional and general public alike.
