Take part of Lalsi restoration workshop
in June 4 – 9, 2018 in Viljandimaa

The workshop will take place at the church in tiny Lalsi village, in the middle of nowhere.

This year we have a plan to exchange the roof of the main dome. The works are concentrated on timber works and repair of roof constructions.

Aside from the obvious goal of accomplishing this necessary building work, the project is also about sharing the experiences, the sheer joy of working together and enjoying the process of giving and taking.

If you have any building experience, you are interested in restoration and possibility to train and work together with Estonian masters, a desire to contribute to Estonia’s architectural heritage and the well-being of a small village community, we look forward to welcoming you to our international team of volunteers.

Lodging

Volunteers will be provided full lodging during the entire working period and local transportation. Lodging will be in the nearby farm. It will be simple, but cosy, and provide a genuine insight into countryside life in Estonia. There will be time for saunas, relaxing, and exploring the local nature and culture.
